Holiday Home Tour
While this Christmas may feel different than all the Christmases that have come before; I believe there has been no better time to bring out the twinkly lights and holiday decor. There is just something about those lights, the coziness that the extra items bring, and the memories that those items hold that bring so much comfort and joy this season.
I generally keep things simple and natural when it comes to my holiday decor but I sprinkle those simple and natural touches everywhere. I’ll let you decide if that’s truly simple or not.
These DIY paper stars have been so much fun to make. Like “I dare you to make just one” fun!
My dining room is one of my favorite spaces to decorate for the holidays. All of the wood tones just call for the addition of some greenery. I also received this beautiful tapestry from Vol25 this year and I can’t get enough of it. I have a feeling it will stick around for a while in the new year.
If big garland is wrong, I don’t want to be right.
This “wine rack” has had a couple different versions of holiday already this year, but I’ve settled on keeping this very simple with some leftover cuttings from the live garland that I brought home for the mantle.
One of my favorite places to spend time this season has been right here. I have dreamt of having a tree in this bathroom since I bought my house three years ago. This year it finally happened. And I know, I know that doorknob; it is a definite perk of living in a 135 year old house.
The other side of the bathroom isn’t quite as magical, but it is clean and there is a tree.
The living room has a bit more sparkle to it than the rest of the house but still feels pretty natural. Plus, we all need a little sparkle this time of year right?
Can’t forget about the bedroom when it comes to decorating. The simple greenery, twinkling lights and a good book are making most of my holiday dreams come true.
Also don’t think for a minute, I forgot about my plant babies.
This nativity is the most meaningful holiday item that I have in my house. This was my grandparents. As a kid and even into adulthood, I was the one to set this up. I knew from a very young age that it would one day be mine. Every year that I take it out, I think of all of the memories, cry a bit, and feel so grateful to be able to have this in my home.
