Those simple touches of pumpkins, candles, and cozy layers are making these cooler, darker days at home so much better. Not much says fall to me more than curling up with a good book, a cozy blanket, and a cup of tea.

Being surrounded by beautiful fall decor at home definitely makes those cozy nights at home even better. I generally stick to a neutral, nature inspired items when it comes to my own decor so I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite neutral fall items for the season. The modern farmhouse design concept pulls in neutral tones, texture, wood tones, and pops of blue. It was important that the space didn’t feel too dark, particularly with the navy wall, so I wanted to pull in plenty of light tones to keep the room feeling balanced.

When it comes to decorating, fall is right there at the top of my list (second only to the holidays, obviously). The cooler temperatures, the darker evenings, the winding down from the busyness of summer; it has me craving all things cozy.

Since I believe the most important part of a room design is to make sure that it reflects the clients’ personality and feels like “home”; I knew right away that I wanted to include pops of green, lots of texture, meaningful artwork, and plenty of fun patterns.

While this Christmas may feel different than all the Christmases that have come before; I believe there has been no better time to bring out the twinkly lights and holiday decor. There is just something about those lights, the coziness that the extra items bring, and the memories that those items hold that bring so much comfort and joy this season.

My style is a little boho, a little farmhouse, a bit rustic, with a tiny bit of traditional mixed in for fun. I wanted my bedroom to reflect this mix of styles.

While, I love a beautiful space, I believe the most important thing about our home is the feeling it creates. I think that your home should be a sanctuary from this busy, chaotic, and sometimes scary world that we live in. It is my opinion, that your home can serve as your greatest act of self care.
